Making the most out of the summer means enjoying the summer weather. Concerts in the park are a great way to get outdoors while enjoying local music.

Here are the places you can catch an outdoor concert this summer:

CLIO AMPHITHEATER

During the summer Clio Amphitheater hosts music live bands on Tuesdays throughout the summer. Enjoy some music in the park for free from 7 – 9 p.m. The last two shows of the summer are August 3 with Persuasion, a Motown band, and August 10 with Hotel California, dubbed the original Eagles tribute band.

FRED & PHYLLIS PAJTAS THEATER

Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association hosts music in the park Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The last two concerts of the summer include Old Days Chicago Tribute band on August 3 and Stronghold Quartet on August 10. For more information, go to www.swartzcreekfinearts.org.

Until August 13, the Greater Flint Arts Council is hosting the Tunes at Noon Festival in Wilson Park in downtown Flint. An eclectic line-up of local musicians perform during lunchtime concerts throughout the summer. For my information, visit www.greaterflintartscouncil.org.
