EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, NOV. 18, 2020: The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) has issued a new emergency order that enacts a three-week pause targeting indoor social gatherings and other group activities in an effort to curb rapidly rising COVID-19 infection rates. Bars and restaurants will be open for outdoor dining, carry-out and delivery only. Gyms will remain open for individual exercise with strict safety measures in place. Casinos, movie theaters and group exercise classes will be closed. Outdoor dining and parks remain open. Individualized activities with distancing and face masks are still allowed: retail shopping; public transit; restaurant takeout; and more. For additional information, please visit michigan.gov.

Our number one priority, as always, is to keep our community, visitors, and employees healthy and safe. Please view Travel Michigan's Guidelines for Travelers for the most current travel information.

Swimming Areas

Slather on sunscreen and escape the summer heat at a swimming area in Flint & Genesee. Dig your toes into the warm sand as you race towards the cool water at Buttercup Beach on the Holloway Reservoir, Bluebell Beach on Mott Lake, or Clover Beach on Byram Lake. Shady areas and pavilions are available for picnics. Have a young or inexperienced swimmer? Visit the splash pads at Bluebell Beach or Creasy Bicentennial Park - where cooling water gently shoots from the ground or sprays down from overhead sprinklers. Both are universally accessible. Swimming areas are also available for those staying at a Flint & Genesee campground.
