Collaboration and trade opportunities will be in the spotlight as the I-69 International Trade Corridor partners host a Regional Summit.  The event will be held on Wednesday, October 31 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  The partners, Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce, Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, Lapeer Development Corporation and Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County will come together with businesses from across the four-county region to discuss economic development along the corridor.

Co-sponsored by Pure Michigan and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation the summit includes guest speakers:  Jim Byrum, Director of Michigan Agri-Business Association; Jennifer Nelson, Chief of Staff and General Counsel for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation; Margaret McAlvoy, Chair of the I-69 International Trade Corridor Next Michigan Development Corporation and David Dusellier, Port Director of the Blue Water Bridge.

The summit will include border crossing infrastructure updates, regional benefits of the Next Michigan Program, Michigan agricultural industry trends and opportunities and new buy Michigan and export programs

Those who would benefit from attending the summit include regional businesses, educators, government officials, logistics companies and community stakeholders.
