When it comes to baseball and softball there are many options available like the Clio Youth Sports Complex, Creasey Bicentennial Park in Grand Blanc, Union City Fields in Flint, and other fields at many of the county parks. For something like a convention, there is the Dort Financial Center, which has plentiful space and amenities to host large gatherings, or perhaps one of their smaller spaces for growing events. The event center is the home of the OHL hockey team the Flint Firebirds, and has also welcomed large-scale concerts, conventions, niche dealer events, and more. This venue is the easiest space for a large event but there are other options as well.  Flint & Genesee has local halls and meeting spaces at hotels. For mid-sized gatherings, the Flint Farmers' Market has event spaces available and on market days offers guests the option of staying within the facility to get a snack or a meal. There are many options for weddings in the area, such as the University of Michigan-Flint's Northbank Center, and their Riverfront Conference Center, and with the current work being done on the historic Flint Masonic Temple that will re-open another option moving forward. Looking further out there is Bella Birches in Flushing, Fenton Winery & Brewery, Genesys Conference & Banquet Center in Grand Blanc, and there are other options available as well.
