Festival Season Continues in Flint & Genesee

August in Flint & Genesee means that festival season is in full gear, and this year promises as much fun, adventure, and excitement as you can handle. 

Aug. 8| 14th Annual Flint Drop Fest - 808 Free Music for the People

Drop Fest returns to downtown Flint for another year of music and dancing. Boasting 10 stages and over 100 performances, the event will feature vendors, art, and food along with its many DJs and performers. This year will also feature a car, truck, and bike show.

Aug. 9-16| 55th Annual Montrose Blueberry Festival

This weeklong festival offers parades, a marketplace, 5K/8K walk and run, car show, midway, and much more to keep you busy.

Aug. 11-15| 2026 Back to the Bricks

With several car events leading up to the main event, Back to the Bricks will return to downtown Flint for several days of fun. On Tuesday is Brick Flicks, with a movie at US-23 Drive-In. Wednesday and Thursday feature a rolling cruise. Friday is the Cruise N’ Concert with a car show and live music. The main event happens on Saturday with hundreds of cars filling downtown Flint. 

Aug. 21 to 22| 49th Annual HAP CRIM Festival of Races

Racers and their cheering sections are invited to enjoy another year of racing in downtown Flint. This year will feature the 10 Mile race, Half Crim 5 Mile, 5K, Michigan Mile, and Teddy Bear Trot.

Aug. 24 – 30| Genesee County Fair

Featuring a full week of fun, the fair has special events planned for every day. Head out to the fairgrounds and enjoy a Truck and Tractor Pull, Figure 8 Derby, Rodeo, country music performance, hip-hop performance, Bump ‘N Run, and on the final day, Bull Mania. With a midway, fair food, entertainment tent, 4-H displays and animals, there is plenty for everyone.

Aug. 24-30| The Ally Challenge Presented by McLaren PGA Golf Tournament

Whether you are a golfer or fan, Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club has a full schedule of fun planned for you. This PGA Tour Champions tournament will host dozens of professional golfers from around the world. Along with the tournament, there will be concerts, a Fan Zone, a Kids Zone, and events like a Celebrity Challenge and Family Fun Night.
