It’s Valentine’s Day weekend with romance on tap. If you are still looking for last-minute plans, check out the holiday events happening locally on the Explore Flint & Genesee calendar. Feb. 13| Black Violin

Black Violin returns to the FIM Capitol Theatre with another evening blending classical music with a more modern sound, creating an unforgettable experience.

 

Feb. 13| Flint Artwalk

Take in the new art exhibits on display in downtown Flint during this monthly event. There are several businesses that join the event, with the Greater Flint Arts Council and Buckham Gallery serving as anchor points for the walk.

 

Feb. 13 to 15| New Works Festival

The Flint Repertory Theatre presents the New Works Festival, featuring four readings over the weekend, with one scheduled for Friday, Feb. 13, two on Saturday, Feb. 14, and one for Sunday, Feb. 15. The event offers the audience the opportunity to experience new works before they appear anywhere else, with the chance to meet the artists behind them.

 

Feb. 13| Return to Heartbreak Hotel - Murder Mystery Dinner Fundraiser

The Genesee County Agricultural Society is offering an exciting evening featuring a murder mystery dinner. The event is a fundraiser held at the Mt. Morris Masonic Temple to benefit the Genesee County Agricultural Society.

 

Feb. 15| 10th Annual Linden Ice Fishing Tournament

Enjoy a full day in Linden, beginning with a pancake breakfast at 11 a.m. and culminating in a Chili Cook-off at 3. During the day, there will be a fishing tournament with awards for Pike, Perch, Bluegill, and Crappie.
