The Flint & Genesee Convention & Visitors Bureau officially has a new brand name and identity: Explore Flint & Genesee, a division of the Flint & Genesee Group.
On April 1, its parent organization, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce became the Flint & Genesee Group. The newly branded Flint & Genesee Group will market its services through four divisions dedicated collectively to advancing the region’s attractiveness as a great place to live, work, play and invest. Those divisions are: the Flint & Genesee Chamber, Flint & Genesee Economic Alliance, Flint & Genesee Education & Talent, and Explore Flint & Genesee.

Explore Flint & Genesee supports Genesee County, Michigan as its convention and visitors bureau—serving all tourism needs including motor coach tours, conventions, sport activities, reunions, weddings, car shows, association meetings, and individual travel. The division has long used “Explore Flint & Genesee” as a call to action for visitors and residents, and the new name will strengthen that invitation.
“We are thrilled to announce our new division under the Flint & Genesee Group,” says Alaina Wiens, executive director of Explore Flint & Genesee. “Explore Flint & Genesee may have a new name, but our team is still dedicated to providing the same great service we always have.”
The staff at Explore Flint & Genesee can provide organizations, groups and individuals with experience, knowledge and unbiased advice and support when traveling to Flint and Genesee County. The team can connect meeting planners and travelers to availability, rates, and reservations for facilities, site inspections and reliable suppliers, promotional materials, publicity and more.
Area locals can also get involved with Explore Flint & Genesee. Individuals can help create a superior visitor experience in Flint & Genesee through the Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) program. Organizations and individuals can become a Community Champion by working with Explore Flint & Genesee to bring meetings or events to the area. Finally, locals can become a goodwill ambassador of Flint & Genesee through the Flint Sparks program.
