Midwest International Rodeo

Put on your best western wear and head out to the rodeo because the Midwest International Rodeo is in town. This is the second year the rodeo will be in Flint & Genesee out at the Everett Cummings Center. With clear weather ahead, it should be a fun event for the whole family.

This authentic African American rodeo features livestock performances, riding, roping, and a celebration of western culture. It’s an event you will not want to miss and just one of two amazing rodeos that will be in town this year, with the Gaines Community Rodeo in town July 18–19.

58th Annual Flint Art Fair

The biggest art fair in our region happens this weekend with the 58th Annual Flint Art Fair at the Flint Cultural Center. The fair will fill the entire campus of the cultural center, and you will be able to browse and buy art from local and regional artists, including paintings, sculptures, yard art, photography, and more. With the downtown Flint Art Walk happening Friday and the Art Fair on Saturday and Sunday, you can make it a full weekend of art appreciation and fun.
