Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is a treasure in Flint & Genesee and has become a destination for both learning and fun. The village itself is made up of over 30 buildings from the 19th century that have been restored to how they historically appeared, and each one offers a fascinating look back in time at what life was like in 1800s America. Among the many buildings in the village are a sawmill, dentist office, opera house, ice cream parlor, one-room schoolhouse, church, and many homes. Circling the village is the Huckleberry Railroad, a 19th Century steam locomotive that patrons can ride to see the structures as well as nearby C.S. Mott Lake, the city of Genesee, and acres of forest and wetlands.

Crossroads Village offers learning experiences with the opportunity to see life from an era that can otherwise only be read about. Buildings that once housed trades offer demonstrations to give a better understanding of how things used to be done so long ago and how much things have changed. There is fun to be had as well at Crossroads, with entertainment at the opera house and rides on the Ferris wheel or the ornate carousel.

The holidays are an exciting time at Crossroads Village. Each Halloween season, the village is taken over by ghosts and goblins, allowing children the chance to trick-or-treat and get some good-natured shivers from the spooky atmosphere. Christmas time has also become beloved at Crossroads as the entire village is lit by thousands of lights for families to walk or drive through, getting everyone in the holiday spirit.
