Flint & Genesee is home to many great festivals and events and the summer is full of fun for the whole family. Whether you are looking for food, music, art, or something to get the heart racing, there’s something for everyone right in the heart of Michigan.

June

Traditional Flint Juneteenth - June 1 to 19, 2024 - June 1 to 19, 2024

Juneteenth serves as a commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States and is a time to reflect on the struggles and resilience of African Americans throughout history. You will find music, dancing, history, and culture at the ready during this wonderful season to honor the past, present, and future.

Midwest Invitation Rodeo – June 7 to June 8

This rodeo features Black performers from across the country, bringing ropin’, ridin’ excitement, and keeping the history of Black cowboys alive.

Flint Art Fair – June 8 to June 9

This annual celebration of art and craft returns to the Flint Cultural Center for a juried fair featuring many disciplines and styles.

52nd Annual Sloan Museum Auto Fair – June 22 to June 23

Hundreds of cars, trucks, and motorcycles will fill the Flint Cultural Center campus for two days of nostalgia.

Flint Pride Festival – June 29

Celebrate unity and pride at downtown Flint’s riverbank park and the University of Michigan-Flint pavilion rink. Performances, food, vendors, health screenings, and more will be offered.

 

July

4th of July Celebration – 9th Annual Flint Water Festival & FIM Holiday Celebration – July 4

This patriotic festival will feature a soak park, collector car auction, pickleball experience, and a performance by Marshall Charloff & the Purple xPeReINCE.

Our Lady of Lebanon Mid-East Festival – July 12 to July 14

This festival features Middle Eastern food, belly dance performances, music, fun for children, and a fireworks display.

Alley Fest – July 13

The annual community celebration in downtown Flint returns with another day of music, food, vendors, and fun for everyone.

Flint Jazz Festival – July 19 to July 21

The Flint Jazz Festival returns to Riverbank Park for three days of great music.

 21st Annual Gaines Community Rodeo- July 19 to July 20

This beloved community rodeo will feature skill competitions, bull riding, and more.

Gus Macker Basketball Tournament - July 27 to July 28

The Macker is back with 3-on-3 basketball for another great year of competition.

 

August

Flint Drop Fest Electronic Music & Art Festival - August 3

A free all-day electronic music festival in the heart of downtown Flint.

Really Cool Comic Con – August 3 to August 4

Flint’s own comic convention hits the Dort Financial Center for two days of cosplay, comics, celebrities, and geeky goodness.

CANUSA Games – August 9 to August 11

The CANUSA games bring together athletes from Canada and the United States to face off in three days of sporting competitions. This event has become a local favorite since its inception in 1957.

Tattoo City Tattoo Convention – August 9 to 11

This large tattoo convention celebrates the art of tattoos. From the people that create the art to those that wear it, this is the place to be if you are looking for inspiration or your next piece.

Back to the Bricks Car Show & Cruise– August 12 to 17

One of America’s premiere car cruises and events, Back to the Bricks is a whole week of fun with a drive-in movie, car cruises, and the main event on Saturday, August 17.

The Ally Challenge Presented by McLaren PGA Golf Tournament at Warwick Hills – August 22 to August 25

This golf classic returns for another year of great PGA golf, amazing live music, and fun for fans of all ages. Music lovers can catch Smash Mouth live on Friday, August 22, and Thomas Rhett on Saturday, August 23.

Genesee County Fair- August 20 to August 25

The biggest fair in the county will bring together carnival rides, livestock, games, entertainment, crafts, a demolition derby, rodeo, and more.
