Grab a lawn chair and your favorite blanket – “Movies Under the Stars” is back for its fourth year. Each movie will kick off with a pre-party at 7:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk.

The schedule for the outdoor summer film series, hosted by Communities First, is as follows:

  • June 23: The LEGO Batman Movie (Flint City Hall) Wear your favorite superhero custom and hop into a bounce house. The PNC Mobile Learning Adventure will also be on site with fun activities for kids.
  • July 14: Grease (Crossroads Village) Before the movie begins, check out the classic car show, strut your stuff in a 50s-themed costume contest and take a spin on the historic Charles W. Parker Carousel. Ages 16+
  • July 28: A Bug’s Life (Flint City Hall) What better way to kick off the weekend than with a dance party? The event will also include a  community resource fair.
  • August 11: Sing (Applewood) Belt out your favorite tunes during karaoke or the Flint’s Got Talent Contest. There will also be a petting zoo and lawn games.
  • August 25: Finding Dory (Flint City Hall) In addition to a dunk tank, the evening will also offer fishing games and a scavenger hunt.
