Dubbed the most romantic holiday of the year, Valentine’s Day is a day for loved ones to spend time together. There are many ways couples celebrate the day or even the weekend: an overnight stay at a hotel, a date night, a new adventure. However, you spend the day with your loved one, spend it in Flint & Genesee.
Go on a Date Night
With restaurants opening in early February, couples can go out to a local restaurant to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Some restaurants are having specials or events to celebrate the day. In Fenton, the Fenton Winery & Brewery is hosting a wine or beer and cupcake pairing on Feb. 14 starting at 2 p.m.
In Flint, celebrate early and give back at Market Tap at the Flint Farmers’ Market with the Very HYP’d Valentine’s Day Weekend to benefit the Genesee Habitat for Humanity. The event, which starts Thursday, Feb. 11 at noon will go on through Saturday, Feb. 13 and participants can enter a raffle to win a Valentine’s Day Basket by buying tickets online or buying drinks at Market Tap’s Winter Bar. The winner of the raffle will be announced on Valentine’s Day morning.
