The Capitol Theatre in downtown Flint is continuing to put on great shows this fall. With big acts on the docket, here are the upcoming shows at the historic theatre:

Cars 2

As part of the Movies at the Capitol series, the Capitol Theatre is hosting a showing of Cars 2 - a great movie for a family night out. The showing is on September 16 at 7 p.m. 

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

For the second year in a row, the Capitol Theatre is hosting a showing of the cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show on October 13 at 8 p.m. The event is part of the 47th Anniversary Spectacular Tour with special guest Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors). 

Dru Hill, SWV, and Dave Hollister

Ring in Sweetest Day Weekend with a celebration of the 90s hosted by the Flint Institute of Music and 98.9 The Beat. The event features Dru Hill, with all the original members celebrating their 25th anniversary, with guests SWV and the soulful sounds of Dave Hollister. The event happens on October 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Isley Brothers Featuring Ronald Isley and Ernest Isley

The famous family musical group is known for its influence on music from The Beatles to Ice Cube. With six hits spannings six decades, the Isley Brothers is one of the most influential bands in American music history. Celebrating 100 years, the United Way of Genesee County brings this event to the Capitol Theatre on October 28 at 7 p.m. 

Mega 80s with Class of '98

This 80s vs 90s bash hosted by Randy Wise Automotive Team is nonstop action and infectious feel-good vibes. The band presents a true one-of-a-kind show that features innovations such as Mega-Vision, 30-second clips of television from the 80s and 90s and your favorite Atari games. The show starts at 8 p.m. on November 4. 

The Music of Sam Cooke starring Bradd Marquis

A fantastic new show depicting the life and music of the legendary Sam Cooke. The concert features the greatest hits including "You Send Me," "Only Sixteen," "Cupid," "Chain Gang," "Twistin' the Night Away," "A Change is Gonna Come," and "Wonderful World." The event happens on November 5 at 7:30 p.m. 

The Who's Tommy

The Flint Repertory Theatre at the Capitol presents The Who's Tommy. The concert version of this exhilarating 1993 Broadway musical is based on the storied 1969 concept album by The Who. The show will run from November 18-19.
