There are few traditions as wholly American as the drive-in theater. Luckily, Flint & Genesee has one of the few remaining in the state. Families have come out to the U.S. 23 Drive-In for decades to watch movies either from the comfort of their cars or under the stars and that tradition will continue soon as the 2023 season kicks off on April 28.

Patrons can take in a double feature on one of three screens for one low price and take part in an American automotive tradition.

The U.S. 23 Drive-In is located on Fenton Road in Mundy Township and is open on Fridays and Saturdays now until the summer when it will be open seven days a week.

Admission includes two feature films and is priced at just $11 per adult and $7 per child.

Although movies start around 9 p.m., visitors are encouraged to arrive as early as possible. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and parking spots are first come, first served.

This is opening weekend for the 2023 season and the films will be:

Tuesday, July 25- Thursday, July 27:

Screen 1: Barbie / Sound of Freedom

Screen 2: Insidious: The Red Door / No Hard Feelings

Screen 3: Mission Impossible 7 / Transformers: Rise of the Beasts

Tickets are first come, first serve. No advanced tickets are sold.
