Residential sales in Flint and Genesee County were down slightly while the average sales price was up in January over the previous year, according to the East Central Association of REALTORS®.
Monthly sales were off just 1.62 percent in January 2017 (with 303 homes sold) compared to the same period in 2016 (with 308 homes sold). Meanwhile, the average sales price in January 2017 was $118,297 versus $115,130 from a year ago – an increase of 2.75 percent.
The total dollar volume sold year-to-date is $35,943,937.
As of Feb. 8, the number of active listings is down 112 units from December to January; and down 529 units (or 29.82 percent) from January 2016 to January 2017.
