The holiday season is a wonderful opportunity to gather the family for fun. Whether going to one of the family-friendly events or playing a game, there is a lot of fun to be had in Flint & Genesee.

Dec. 13-29 - Christmas Holiday Magic at Crossroads

Holiday magic returns to Crossroads Village, with decorated buildings and thousands of lights on display. There are dates for driving through the village and for walking through where you can take your time to explore, and either way, you’ll leave full of holiday cheer.

Dec. 13 and 14 - Fenton Community Orchestra Winter Concert

At this free event at Fenton High School, the Fenton Community Orchestra and Simply Strings will perform a mix of holiday favorites and classical music.

Dec. 14 - Cookies with Santa and more – At the Gloria Coles Public Library, children are invited to an array of holiday events. They can have cookies and cocoa with Santa Claus where they can listen to stories and tell him what they want for Christmas. They can enjoy story time with Train Conductor Handsome Harry, who will read “The Polar Express” and make some crafts. Kids can also Wiggle and Giggle to some Holiday Jazz led by percussionist Sean Dobbins and learn to express themselves through music and play.

Dec. 14-22 - Bicentennial Park Holiday Walking Night

Grand Blanc’s Creasey Bicentennial Park will host several dates  you can take a walk through a lighted winter wonderland. Each of the four weeks has a different theme: Character Night, Trails of Treats, Tail of Lights, and Scavenger Hunt Night.

Dec. 14 - Birding Hike: Christmas Bird Count

Help the National Audubon Society with its annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count and monitor winter bird populations at For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum.

Dec. 14 - Christmas Song Bingo

The Burton Memorial Library will offer kids a chance to name that Christmas song as they fill out their bingo cards to win prizes.

Dec. 14 - Let it Snow Santa Show

At the William F. Delaney Headquarters Library in Flint, families can enjoy magic, juggling, stunts, and cheer for Santa and his friends.

Dec. 14 - Victorian Family Christmas

Stockton House Museum will host a Victorian Family Christmas with games, crafts, and cookie decorating for the whole family.

Dec. 15 - Breakfast with Santa

Sugarbush Golf Club & Banquet Center welcomes a special guest for breakfast. Families will have a gourmet breakfast buffet, can take pictures with Santa, listen to stories, take part in a sing-along, do activities, and enjoy hot cocoa and cookies.  

Dec. 15 - Lunch with Santa

If you weren’t able to make breakfast with Santa then head to the Captain’s Club at Woodfield for a lunch buffet, pictures, crafts, songs, and more.

Cosmic Christmas (occurring weekly on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday).

Come to Longway Planetarium for a Christmas light show set to 16 holiday songs sure to fill you with seasonal joy.

Dec. 17 - Outdoor Explorers: I’m Dreaming of a Green Holiday!

Create environmentally friendly holiday gifts and learn to reduce, reuse, and recycle this holiday season at For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum.  

Dec. 18 - Nature Storytime – Holiday Inspired

Preschoolers and early elementary school children are invited to For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum to enjoy this story time event with books, songs, games, and crafts.

Dec. 27 to 30 - Holiday Bounce Bash

Take the kids to the Mundy Sportsplex for bounce houses, an obstacle course, music, and games.  

Dec. 28 – Winter Break Camp: Animal Explorers

Children can meet animals, learn how the For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum staff care for their animal ambassadors, and take a hike for an outdoor adventure during this camp.
