Thanksgiving is right around the corner. A perfect time for families to come together and be thankful. This year, many families can celebrate in a more traditional way with Thanksgiving dinner surrounded by loved ones.

However, there is still one key element to figure out – Who brings the turkey? Luckily, in Flint & Genesee there are plenty of places to dine-in or grab carry out for the big day.

Here are some of the places you can dine in or out for Thanksgiving in Flint & Genesee:

Blondie’s Food & Spirits

The local restaurant is serving up family packages and à la carte items to go with pickup after 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24. The family packages come in four options which include herb-roasted turkey, ginger glazed sliced ham, slow house-roasted beef and a vegan portabella mushroom steak. À la carte options include classic green bean casserole, coleslaw, garlic smashed potatoes and mac & cheese.

Andiamo Fenton

In Fenton, this Italian Restaurant is serving up two Thanksgiving packages to-go – the Piccola Famiglia (serves 4-6) and the Grande Famigilia (serves 12 – 15). Along with turkey, each package includes all-natural roasted giblet gravy, artisan rolls and butter, brandied cranberry relish, a baby kale salad, fresh sage and herbed bread stuffing, whipped potatoes with sweet crème butter, candied sweet potatoes with maple syrup glaze and a medley of fresh autumn vegetables in herbed broth.

Oliver T’s

The Grand Blanc market is serving a carry out option for 8-10 people. The dinner includes a whole roast turkey or boneless turkey breast, sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, balsamic green beans with cranberries, feta and roasted pumpkin seeds, orange cranberry relish and your choice of pie.

The Laundry

Located in Fenton, the Laundry is offering both a Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner for dine-in and Thanksgiving sides for four for carry out. The prix fixe menu includes a starter featuring butternut squash bisque or a petite salad; a main featuring turkey, pork tenderloin, tilapia or cauliflower steak; sides including sour cream and chive potatoes, savory stuffing, apple-cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, bacon braised collard greens and pumpkin risotto with mushrooms, goat cheese and pepitas; and dessert including pumpkin cheesecake, pioneer pie or sweet potato pie. Carry out sides include the same options as the prix fixe menu.

The Local Grocer

The Flint market is serving carry out orders available for pick up between 2 – 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24.  Featured products include turkey pot pie; squash, kale, chickpea and cranberry salad; cranberry sauce; a vegan appetizer board; shaved brussels sprout salad; roasted butternut and brussels sprouts with sumac dressing; garlic mashed potatoes (vegan option available); wild rice and root vegetables; and more.

The Fenton Hotel Tavern & Grille

In Fenton, the historic restaurant is serving up Thanksgiving specials for dine-in with a reservation from noon – 6 p.m. Menu items include roasted turkey & giblet gravy, pecan-crusted whitefish, lake perch, broiled Atlantic salmon, Fenton hotel frog legs, eggplant parmesan, lobster mac and cheese, holiday duckling, Jack Daniels chicken, autumn chicken, roasted pork loin, braised lamb shank, honey glazed ham, black Angus New York strip steak and roasted prime rib.

Tee’s Plentiful Salads

The local salad stand at the Flint Farmers’ Market is branching out from salads and offering hot foods also for carry out for thanksgiving. All orders must be placed by Monday, Nov. 22. Salads available include potato, macaroni or spaghetti salad, and chicken or crab salad. Hot foods include macaroni and cheese, green beans, yams and roasted chicken.
