The annual car show, Back to the Bricks, is back this year in traditional fashion with its tune-up week and the main event. Classic car lovers will fill downtown Flint for the weekend to show off and see a variety of vehicles lining the historic bricks.

Leading up to that day, other events will be held in the community with the first event starting on May 22.

Dust ‘Em Off Car Show

On May 22, the Dust ‘Em Off Car show will kick off the 2022 summer events for Back to the Bricks. The day will be filled with classic vehicles, music, food trucks and fun. Kick-off the summer with the true car show experience.

Promo Tour

Leading up to the main event, Back to the Bricks is hosting a promo tour June 3-8 throughout Ohio, Indiana and a host of cities in Michigan. The tours are designed to generate enthusiasm for Back to the Bricks with mini car shows in each community.

Tune-Up Week

The week before the big event, Back to the Bricks will be hosting Tune-Up Parties in Genesee County. Attractions and activities vary by location but include parties with ’50s, '60s or '70s themes, concessions, vendors, live music and dancing in the streets.

Main Event Weekend

The entire experience will culminate with the week of events. August 15-20 a number of events will be set for car enthusiasts including a family-oriented party at the drive-in, a rolling cruise down Saginaw Street, a concert and dance party with a Motown theme, and then two days of the classic car show on the bricks. The main event will also include vendors, live music, food and more!
