Back this year, Flint Restaurant Week is happening in Flint from October 12 – 16. With 19 participating restaurants featuring specials, it is a great week to dine out downtown.
For those who love to support local, the Flint Restaurant Week passport is a great way to do so. If you dine at one of the participating restaurants you will receive a stamp on your passport. Collect six stamps and turn it into Soggy Bottom Bar for a chance to receive a prize. The first 300 to turn in the passport will receive the prize, so make sure to get yours in early.
Participating restaurants this year include:
501 Bar & Grill
This year, 501 is serving up features during Flint Restaurant Week including fried green tomatoes, truffle brussels sprouts, chicken & waffles, lettuce wraps and ahi tuna.
Blackstone’s Smokehouse
The local smokehouse is serving up features including smoked jumbo wings, smokehouse mac & cheese and Mama Stone’s salmon dip. Along with delicious food, Blackstone’s will have live entertainment with Eclipse Band on Thursday, Christian Lopez on Friday and 12 Above on Saturday.
Café Rhema
The coffee shop is featuring drink and food specials including The Miel, sinister cider, pumpkin spice waffle and PB deluxe.
Churchill’s Food & Spirits
The whiskey bar is serving up some great specials including sweet chili calamari, rosemary rubbed NY strip, ancho glazed salmon, twin BBQ chicken breast and crème brulé. For entertainment, Jason Waggoner will be playing at the bar on Friday.
Cork on Saginaw
The local wine bar is serving up a three-course menu with a mixed green salad for the first course, your choice of butternut squash lasagna, shrimp & grits, BBQ rubbed salmon and cork burger for the second course and a choice between croissant bread pudding and espresso walnut brownie for dessert. For entertainment, Isaac Ryder will be playing on Wednesday.
Flint Crepe Co. Coffee Shop & Creperie
This year, Flint Crepe Co. will feature various crepes including the OG Reuben, the MexiCali pinto, the berry peachy and the cherry French toast. The shop will also feature drink specials including the blueberry fog and strawberry rhubarb soda.
Hoffman’s Deco Deli & Café
The local sandwich shop is serving up featured sandwiches and wraps including the slider sample, starving artist, knuckle, salvation army and riverbank wrap.
Sauce Italian American Kitchen & Bar
One of the newest downtown restaurants located at the Hilton Garden Inn Flint Downtown is featuring one appetizer, two entrees and a dessert sampler for $40. The restaurant is also hosting live entertainment at its rooftop bar Simmer on Wednesday & Thursday and has Italian wine samples and Aperitif & Digestif tastings on Friday & Saturday.
Local Grocer Specialty Grocer & Kitchen
The grocer is featuring specials during Flint Restaurants Week including pickle pies, German Russian bierock, Russian pieroski, Italian meatball pocket, steak and cheese pocket, apple kuchen and house-made cookie and ice cream sandwiches.
The Palette Café
The café located in the Flint Institute of Arts will feature a smoky autumn salad, snickerdoodle latte, curried squash bisque and the fork and knife sandwich.
Luigi’s Pizzeria & Restaurant
The local pizza joint is serving up new specials each day during Flint Restaurant Week. Tuesday get a mini three-item pizza for $9.25; Wednesday get a poor man pizza for $4.95; Thursday get baked meatballs for $5; Friday save $1 off wine by the glass; Saturday any 12oz draft is $2. The restaurant will also have live music Thursday night with Greg Nagy.
Soggy Bottom Bar
The local bar will feature specials including the pastrami jam burger, pork belly sliders, feta dip, a Greek salad and bourbon banana foster.
Steady Eddy’s Café
Located at the Flint Farmers’ Market, Steady Eddy’s will feature specials including the pestodian, loaded hash browns, popper sliders, poutine and cheese logs. The restaurants will also feature fresh-squeezed lemonade with the option to add fresh fruit or boba bubbles.
Timothy’s Pub
This local pub will feature specials during Flint Restaurant Week including Paddy’s Irish salad, blackberry bacon grilled cheese, the 2019 Burgers N Brews Maggie Meadows “A-List” burger, black bean quesadilla burger, Michelle’s famous pub goulash and a walleye dinner.
Vehicle City Tacos
Located at Tenacity Brewing, Vehicle City Tacos will feature specials including the Seoul bowl, wallflower bowl, clucker bowl, regular bowl, clucker fries and regular fries. Tenacity will also have events during the week including Yoga on Tap on Tuesday, Open Mic Night on Wednesday, Trivia Night on Thursday, Big Easy Jazz Night on Friday and BrewHaha Stand Up Comedy on Saturday.
White Horse Tavern & Grill
White Horse will be serving up specials during Flint Restaurant Week including the White Horse burger, a Greek salad and half-off pizza.
XOLO Tacos & Tequila
The local taqueria will be featuring specials including stuffed avocado, a classic Cubano, chicken mole, birria ramen, wild mushroom taco and limeade.
