Flint has been known for its sports culture for decades. From the Flintstones – Flint natives who took the Michigan State Spartans Basketball team to the 2000 NCAA Division I Men's National Championship – to boxing stars like Claressa Shields and Tony Burton, Flint has produced some major athletes.

The city is continuing its sports culture with a variety of professional and semi-professional sports teams playing around the state, country and even internationally. Flint & Genesee is also a mecca for events that bring players from all around.

Luckily for locals, these games happen right in their backyard. Flint & Genesee sports teams and events are also a great reason to visit the region.
