July 3
Start things off early on July 3 in Flushing for their Concerts in the Park as the Genesee Valley Concert Band performs a free concert in the bandshell. Bring a lawn chair and get ready for a great night of music and fun.
Fenton offers a preamble to their big Fourth of July festival with the Silver Lake Ski Show at Silver Lake Park.
July 4
In Fenton, you’ll find their Fenton Freedom Festival which will feature a parade, craft show, Firecracker race/walk, and Rubber Ducky Regatta. The day will end with fireworks.
Flint has their own fun to offer at the 4th of July Celebration – 9th Annual Flint Water Festival & FIM Holiday Celebration. The festival will take place on Water Street at General Motors’ Durant-Dort Factory One and will feature a Collector car auction, collector car show, Pickleball tourney, and open play, splash park, and evening foam party. During the day there will be live music and DJs concluding with The Purple xPeRIeNCE, a tribute to Prince. Fireworks will be at dusk.
Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad offers their Independence Day Celebration with games for children, the opportunity to make cards for veterans, an ice cream social, and live entertainment throughout the day.
Throughout Genesee County, you’ll find many other celebrations as communities celebrate this special day, including a Fourth of July Boat Parade on Lobdell Lake on the fourth.
From neighborhood parties to grand displays, the night will be lit up with music and flashes from the fireworks as everyone celebrates another Fourth of July.
