July 10| Scoop de Loop 5K Run/Walk & Junior Scoop Shuffle

This race happens in Flushing and will feature both a run and walk with things kicking off at 6 p.m.

 

July 12| 2025 Bastille Day Race

Presented by Habitat for Humanity and partners Great Lakes Race Management. The race will be held in Fenton and will begin with the 15K run first thing and end with the Fun Run/Walk to wrap things up.

 

July 12| Monster Truck Nitro Tour

Clio’s Auto City Outdoor Event Center may be offering full seats, but you will only need the edge as you watch monster trucks racing, performing wheelies, and freestyling around the track.

 

July 12  - 13 | 2025 MUDGIRL Obstacle Race Dedicated To Women

Head out to the Everett A. Cummings Center for this all-day festival of muddy fun with some of the proceeds going to support women’s cancer research.

 

July 18 - 19| 22nd Annual Gaines Community Rodeo

The rodeo returns to Gaines during this annual celebration of cowboy culture. For the adults, the entertainment tent will offer live music to end the evening.

 

July 19 & Aug. 23| Lumber City Baseball

Step back in time and enjoy a game of old-fashioned baseball, the way it was played in the early years of its history. This is a perfect opportunity for families to show their kids what the great game used to be like and to simply enjoy a day at the park.

 

July 26 & 27| Gus Macker 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament - Flint

Whether you’re hitting the court or just watching the games, this is a great Flint event that brings the community together for the love of basketball. Beyond being a fun event, this is also a fundraiser for the Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center.

 

AUGUST

Aug. 2| Auto City Speedway Maximum Destruction

Enjoy an evening of races and destructive fun in Clio.

 

Aug. 4| Learn to Paddle Board

Learn the basics of stand-up paddleboard during this one-hour class presented by the Davison Township Parks & Recreation.

 

Aug. 8 & 9| All-Star Alliance Invitational (FRC)

Kettering hosts this fun robotics competition where students will show off their STEM skills and compete against other teams.

 

Aug. 9 – 10| Mott Lake Regatta: War of the Wake 2025

Bluebell Beach will be where the best seats are for a day of hydroplane boat racing. There will be food trucks and a beer garden, and kids can play at the splash pad.

 

Aug. 12| Ride the "Red Line" Bike Tour

Take a bike ride through Flint history on this fascinating trek through the historical areas of the city that were part of the housing segregation seen there. The tour will be led by Dr. Thomas Henthorn, Wyatt Endowed professor of public history with the Department of History at the University of Michigan-Flint.

 

Aug. 13| USA Basketball Youth Clinic

Powers Catholic High School will host this event aimed at helping kids learn and develop their basketball skills. There are three clinics available which are divided by age.

 

Aug. 17| 49th Annual Montrose Blueberry Festival of Races

This Montrose event will feature a 5K and 8K run and walk during the Annual Blueberry Festival.

 

Aug. 22 – 23| 48th Annual HAP Caresource CRIM Festival of Races

Downtown Flint will fill with racers and spectators for this beloved event as it celebrates its 48th year.
