The city of Davison, on the east side of Genesee County, is home to many wonderful restaurants. Families can head out together for a night of dining that won’t break the bank. Couples can take in a romantic evening with one another. Friends can go out and catch the game and not feel embarrassed to get a little rowdy. There are several options for a night out of dining in the city and these are but a few.

Whitey’s of Davison has become a Davison tradition since it opened in 1955. Nice without being pretentious, friendly without being fake, Whitey’s is a wonderful place for family dining or a casual night out with friends. Lovers of seafood will find plenty to choose from with Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Snow Crab Legs, Shrimp, and Cod & Clams among other items. If you aren’t interested in seafood there are still plenty of options as they have salads, hamburgers, chicken breast, steak, and even chicken tenders on the menu. There’s a reason Whitey’s has become such a staple in Flint & Genesee and now is a great time to find out for yourself.

If you are looking for something in the realm of steak, then you can’t go wrong with Lucky’s Steakhouse - Davison which specializes in steaks seasoned with their own blend of spices and paired with their zip sauce. With a wide selection of appetizers from different varieties of shrimp, stuffed mushrooms, buffalo chicken tenders, or one of their many salads, you can get the meal started well before turning your attention to the main course. You can get a filet, a porterhouse, a ribeye, a strip, or even lamb or pork chops. Steaks aren’t all they serve though, as they offer seafood like grouper, lobster, shrimp, crab cakes, and if you’re a fan of barbecue they offer that also. If you prefer something simpler, then maybe it’s a burger or sandwich you want. These are all but some of the options you have at Lucky’s and whatever you choose is bound to be delicious.

El Charrito’s Restaurante in Davison offers authentic Mexican food from a packed menu that will make it hard to narrow down what to order. Start with one of their appetizers and from there you can move on to the main course. There are salads, sandwiches (for those not looking for flavors from south of the border), a variety of tamales, seafood dinners (like seafood nacho or seafood burrito dinner), fajitas, quesadillas, full dinners, or food enough for the whole gang—El Charrito’s offers filling and delicious food that can bring a little comfort to your day.

Belva is located on Main Street in Davison and is the newest entry here – but don’t mistake that for inexperience. Belva brings a heightened dining experience with a deep menu that will appeal to anyone with an appetite. On their appetizer menu you can choose between crab cakes, Italian meatballs, pork bites, or other delicious beginnings that will whet your appetite for what’s to come. Their entrees consist of steaks, fish & chips, scallops, pot roast, pork loin, ribs, meatloaf, and more. They also serve several pasta dishes, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, and soups. Dining at Belva will feel like a taste of the big city right in the heart of Davison.

Italia Gardens blends the taste of the Tuscan with portions and flavors that will have you returning time and again. The restaurant features handmade Italian classics and freshly baked bread. Mostaccioli, spaghetti, and fettuccini with a variety of sauce options are all available for pasta lovers. Perhaps you prefer some chicken, a steak, some salmon, a pizza, or ribs? It doesn’t matter, because it will come out hot, fresh, and in large portions. Italia Gardens has been around for nearly a hundred years and their reputation has been very well earned.

Finally, The Davison Hotel, on Main Street, across from Belva, is downtown Davison’s pub, with affordable dishes that will be great when you want a casual dining experience without sacrificing flavor. They offer several chip and dip options, appetizers, salads, sandwiches, flatbreads, burgers, pasta, and other entries like grouper fingers, salmon, steak, or chicken.
