With warmer weather coming the idea of a bar crawl becomes more inviting. With several bars and pubs in Flint & Genesee, it’s a great time to gather friends together and head out for a drink. There are many options in the county, but with so many in close proximity downtown Flint, it makes for an easy bar crawl. And with so many summer events, it adds another element to an already fun night.

Making sure you have a designated driver in the group, you can start the night with a stop at Soggy Bottom Bar just north of downtown. A beautiful bar that offers music and trivia, they are known for great food and an expansive drink menu. Begin the evening with some dinner with that first drink and on the right night some music to set the tone.

From there, make your way downtown and park in the secured central parking lot at the corners of Saginaw Street and either First Street or Kearsley Street. Once parked, you are set for the evening unless you decide to get a little adventurous. Head south on Saginaw Street to Cork on Saginaw, which offers food, atmosphere, and drinks, and is known for their extraordinary wine list. Fancy without feeling stuffy, Cork is a great place for people watching through their big front-facing windows before you hit the sidewalk once more.

The night is still young so from here turn down First Street and then down Buckham Alley where you can get a drink at The Loft and dance a little if there’s a DJ before heading across the alley to The Torch Bar & Grill where everyone can get a shareable snack and a drink before hitting your last stop for the night.

Not far from the Torch, located on Saginaw Street is Churchill’s Food & Spirits. Churchill’s has become as beloved for their delicious food as they have for their epic menu of whiskeys. This is the perfect place to end the night with one last drink, a full belly, having had a night to remember with friends.

There are so many options in downtown Flint making it a perfect bar crawl destination. You can choose your own adventure. You might prefer to start at Xolo and get some Latin street food and drinks and then head across the street to Pop Rox for some eighties retro fun and then end the night at The White Horse for a late-night meal. With Tenacity Brewery nearby, and any number of the local restaurants offering drinks, you can play out the night in whatever way best suits your party. However you want to do it, there are plenty of options for a great night on the town.
