Even though fall is around the corner, there is still time for some late summer fun. There’s plenty to do all around Flint & Genesee.
St. John Applefest| Head to Fenton Sept. 11 – Sept. 14 for the 53rd annual St. John Applefest. The event will feature carnival rides, a cake walk, games for the kids, raffles, the annual apple pie baking contest, bingo, Texas Hold‘em tourneys, and live music. Also on hand will be food trucks and vendors to offer you something for your stomach and your heart.
Shadows of the Past: The Haunted Village Experience| Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Junction will host this spooky tour of the village, where guests will be led by paranormal investigators through the historic buildings while using ghost hunting tools. See the village like you never have before as you explore the grounds and buildings, and maybe discover something supernatural. This event will be held on Sept. 12.
Clue - An Interactive Experience| Whaley Historic House is holding a live version of the classic board game “Clue,” and you’re invited. This fun event will present a lavish party at Whaley House, hosted by Mr. Body, with formal wear suggested. Dive into a night of sleuthing at this fun event. You can join the game on Sept. 12.
Flint Rogues Rugby Football| Come out and see Flint’s own rugby club, the Flint Rogues, as they take on the Capital Area Crisis. This fast-paced match can be enjoyed at Longway Park, at 2300 N. Averill Ave. Cheer on one of the area’s oldest sports clubs and learn more about your local team on Sept. 13.
