Aug. 1-31| By the Beach
The Flint Children’s Museum celebrates fun in the water with a month of activities based around the ocean and sea.
Aug. 5| Back to the Bricks Tune Up Party – Flushing A
Classic car lovers will want to head to the Flushing A in the city’s downtown to catch a glimpse of some of the coolest cars in automotive history.
Aug. 5| Tribute to Jimmy Buffett
Everyone will be dreaming of cheeseburgers in paradise at Clio Amphitheater as the music of Jimmy Buffett fills the air with fins to the left and fins to the right.
Aug. 5 and 19| Karaoke at the Mill Pond
The evening will be filled with music in downtown Linden as people take the stage to sing. There will also be snacks available for purchase, as well as a food truck nearby.
Aug 5| Swartz Creek Fine Arts 41st Annual Summer Concert Series
The Stone Street Revival will play music from the 1950s to today and get everyone moving in their seats.
Aug. 6| Concerts in Physicians Park
Bring a blanket and a picnic and enjoy live music in the park.
Aug. 6 and 13| Flushing Area Concerts in the Park
Enjoy live music in downtown Flushing with the Pub Runners and the Hubbardston Irish Dance Troupe on the 6th, and Itchy Coo Park on the 13th.
Aug. 6, 13, 20, and 27| Linden Music by the Mill
There will be a wide variety of styles and music types in Linden during these free concerts, so bring a chair or blanket and settle back for the groove.
Aug. 7, 14, 21, and 28| Fenton Concerts in the Park
Enjoy live music from across the spectrum with something for everyone on the calendar.
Aug. 8| Flint ARTWALK
Enjoy the great art in the galleries, churches, and on the street during this wonderful Flint tradition.
Aug. 9| Back to the Bricks Tune Up Party – Mt. Morris
The next stop on the Tune Up tour is Mt. Morris, where they will have cars on display, a DJ, food trucks, a craft show, and a swap meet.
Aug. 9| Drop Fest XIII
DJs will fill downtown Flint with music to make people move as this long-running free music festival enters its thirteenth year.
Aug. 9-10| Mott Lake Regatta: War of the Wake 2025
Hydroplane boat racing returns to the area, and the action will be on C.S. Mott Lake. Along with the racing, there will be food trucks, a beer garden, and a splash pad for the kids.
Aug. 9| Passages Storytelling: Personal Victory
Queen’s Provisions will host this open mic event, inviting people to tell their stories of personal victory.
Aug. 10-17| 54th Annual Montrose Blueberry Festival
The blueberries are back in Montrose, along with a car show, walk/run, blueberry pancake breakfast, golf scramble, midway, entertainment tent, and more.
Aug. 12| Brick Flicks
Classic cars and a family-friendly film are the catch of the day at the area’s only drive-in movie theater, the US-23 Drive-In.
Aug. 12| Clio Amphitheater Summer Concert Series
Enjoy a return to boy bands with this ultimate boy band tribute show.
Aug. 13-14| Back to the Bricks: Rolling Cruise
From 4 to 8 p.m., classic cars will cruise the bricks from Grand Blanc to Flint and back. Along with the cruise, the event will feature food trucks, a DJ, vendors, raffles, and more fun at the Mega Site at the Insight Institute of Neurosurgery & Neuroscience.
Aug. 14| Flint Concert Band Live Performance: An Odyssey in Sound: Journeys, Lore, and Legends
Enjoy the music of the Flint Concert Band as you explore magical realms and embark on a quest for a deeper understanding of the world.
August 14, Sept.11, and October 9 | What's in Bloom Garden Tour at Applewood
This free event, held monthly on the second Thursday, features a guided tour of the Applewood gardens, accompanied by explanations of what is blooming and when. August’s tour is on the 14th.
Aug. 15| Back to the Bricks: Friday Cruise 'N Concert
Downtown Flint will be rockin’ as the band “Packin Heat” takes the stage for Back to the Bricks’s signature concert.
Aug. 15| For-Mar at Night: A Wine Walk with Friends
This fundraising event will support For-Mar Nature Preserve and Arboretum, inviting guests to explore the preserve and its amenities as night falls, with food and beverage stops along the way. Tickets are $50.
Aug. 16| Back to the Bricks: Main Event
One of Flint’s signature events returns for another year, with hundreds of cars parking in the downtown area and thousands of guests taking in the beauty and history on display.
Aug. 16| Treasures in the Sand
It will be fun in the sun on Bluebell Beach with a sandcastle art display, live sand sculpture, and more.
Aug. 18| The Ally Challenge
The Ally Challenge presented by McLaren is back for another year, bringing great golfers, music, and fun. Golf lovers won’t want to miss this event.
Aug. 18-24| Genesee County Fair

Aug. 22-23| 16th Annual Art in the Park
