The leaves are falling, the weather is changing and everyone is getting ready for Halloween. Kids everywhere are picking out their favorite costumes, watching Halloween movies and listening to the Monster Mash. Halloween Ghosts & Goodies
Through October, Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is hosting Halloween Ghosts & Goodies. The event features cider and donuts, a trip through the enchanted forest, a magic show at the Colwell Opera House, a straw maze and 20 treat stops throughout the village. Visitors can also take a 40-minute ride on the Huckleberry Ghost Train Express.
Ooky Spooky Light Show
Longway Planetarium is hosting its Halloween light show featuring Halloween favorites including “The Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Thriller,” coming to life with amazing graphics and lights. The program runs until Oct. 30.
Halloween Hootenanny
Join Longway Planetarium on October 15 for the Halloween Hootenanny! Grab your little monster and boogie the night away at our annual Halloween Hootenanny. Join the planetarium and show off your best monster mash. Costumes are welcome but not required. Includes a special 6:00 pm showing of the Ooky Spooky Light Show.
Trick or Treat Down Main Street
In Davison, the town is doing things a little differently this year and forgoing the traditional Trunk 'R Treat for a chance to Trick or Treat Main Street. End the night will be a double feature of "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and "Hocus Pocus" in Shoppers Alley.

Join Flint Odyssey House and Court Street United Methodist Church for a 30-car "trunk full of candy event" on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 4-6 p.m.

Davison Township Parks and Recreation is hosting a Drive Thru Trunk or Treat at Lake Callis Recreation Complex. Decorate your car and your kids and come drive thru the trick-or-treat line.

Burton Parks and Recreation is hosting a Trick or Treat Trail at Bently High School. Cider, donuts, pumpkins and hay wagon rides will be available.

Boo! Art Workshop
Presented by Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation, BOOTIFUL artwork will be created in this fun Hallowe’en workshop. Black cat silhouettes in sunsets, wax relief gossamer paintings and ghostly sculptures, Model Magic spirits. A viewing of our artwork with Popsicle treats will be extended to families at the end of class. Taught by artist/instructor Pamela Palmer, B.F.A. owner of The Artist’s Apprentice.
