The leaves are falling, the weather is changing and everyone is getting ready for Halloween. Kids everywhere are picking out their favorite costumes, watching Halloween movies and listening to the Monster Mash. Flint & Genesee is booming with fall activities – apple orchards, hayrides, trunk-or-treats. Keep the spooky spirit alive and switch things up a bit by attending one of these fun, kid-friendly Halloween events in Flint & Genesee.

Halloween Ghosts & Goodies

Through October, Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad is hosting Halloween Ghosts & Goodies. The event features cider and donuts, a trip through the enchanted forest, a magic show at the Colwell Opera House, a straw maze and 20 treat stops throughout the village. Visitors can also take a 40-minute ride on the Huckleberry Ghost Train Express.

Ooky Spooky Light Show

Longway Planetarium is hosting its Halloween light show featuring Halloween favorites including “The Monster Mash,” “Ghostbusters,” and “Thriller,” coming to life with amazing graphics and lights. The program runs until Oct. 30. 

Halloween Hootenanny

Join Longway Planetarium on October 15 for the Halloween Hootenanny! Grab your little monster and boogie the night away at our annual Halloween Hootenanny. Join the planetarium and show off your best monster mash. Costumes are welcome but not required. Includes a special 6:00 pm showing of the Ooky Spooky Light Show. 

Trick or Treat Down Main Street

In Davison, the town is doing things a little differently this year and forgoing the traditional Trunk 'R Treat for a chance to Trick or Treat Main Street. End the night will be a double feature of "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" and "Hocus Pocus" in Shoppers Alley.

Join Flint Odyssey House and Court Street United Methodist Church for a 30-car "trunk full of candy event" on Thursday, Oct. 27 from 4-6 p.m.

Drive Thru Trunk or Treat

Davison Township Parks and Recreation is hosting a Drive Thru Trunk or Treat at Lake Callis Recreation Complex. Decorate your car and your kids and come drive thru the trick-or-treat line.

Trunk or Treat Burton

Join Tall Oaks Realty for this free Trunk or Treat community event! Featuring Burton Fire Department. Music, Candy, Cider & Donuts!

Mundy Township Trunk or Treat Cruise-In

Head to Mundy Township for the first Mundy Township Trunk or Treat Cruise-In at the Mundy Miracle Commons. Free admission and open to the public - rain or shine! 

Spooky Monster Magic Show

Grand Blanc-McFarlen Library is hosting a spooktacular magic show. The show will entertain and delight with spooky music, magical monsters and tons of fun. 

Trick or Treat Trail

Burton Parks and Recreation is hosting a Trick or Treat Trail at Bently High School. Cider, donuts, pumpkins and hay wagon rides will be available.

Happy Halloween Skate Party

Head to Rollhaven Skate & Fun Center for the Happy Halloween Skate Party. Wear your costume and get 100 stuff shop tickets! Donut eating contest, coffin rides, candy scramble and more. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place costumes.

Boo! Art Workshop

Presented by Southern Lakes Parks and Recreation, BOOTIFUL artwork will be created in this fun Hallowe’en workshop. Black cat silhouettes in sunsets, wax relief gossamer paintings and ghostly sculptures, Model Magic spirits. A viewing of our artwork with Popsicle treats will be extended to families at the end of class. Taught by artist/instructor Pamela Palmer, B.F.A. owner of The Artist’s Apprentice.

Halloween Happenings

Head to the Flint Institute of Arts for Halloween Happenings. Attention all boils and ghouls—come in costume, help us haunt the museum and celebrate the holiday with fun for the whole family! Go on a spooky scavenger hunt, trick-or-treat in the galleries, and join our teaching artists in the Art School. The event will take place in the galleries & studios.

Super Saturday Story Time - Monster Mash

Head to the Flint Public Library for the Super Saturday Story Time. Wear your favorite costume and enjoy stories at our special Super Saturday Storytime with music, dancing, games and a grand costume parade! 

An Event So Good… It’s Scary!

This annual event held in Fenton by the Fenton & Linden Regional Chamber of Commerce brings participating businesses together for a spooktacular community event that allows safe trick-or-treating for kids at local businesses.

Halloween: Graveyard Get-Down

The Latinx Technology & Community Center is hosting its fourth annual Halloween event for the community in the city of Flint. This family fun event will include trick-or-treating along Lewis St., family activities such as pumpkin painting and making slime, as well as a heated tent for everyone to enjoy cider and doughnuts. This event is free and open to the public.

Greenhouse Trick or Treating
