The University of Michigan-Flint Outdoor Ice Rink is a great place to go with friends and family, and enjoy the winter weather and outdoor activity. The ice rink is open Wednesdays 6 – 9 p.m., Fridays 5 – 8 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays 12 – 4 p.m. The rink is open for the season until February 28. Skate rentals are available in limited quantities for $3 inside the University Pavilion.

If you’re looking for something to do after skating, there are plenty of options. Here are five places of our favorites in downtown Flint:

Café Rhema

Warm up at the 1920s themed, European-inspired café and sip on a specialty hot beverage or grab a delicious baked good or sandwich.

Hoffman’s Deco Deli & Café

Hungry from hours of skating? Grab a delicious sandwich or soup at Hoffman’s Deco Deli & Café located kitty-corner from the ice rink.

Churchill’s Food & Spirits

Rather warm up with an adult beverage? Head across the street to Flint’s only whiskey bar, Churchill’s Food & Spirits. While you are there enjoy a delicious meal created by Chef Tyler Hardisty.

The Eberson

Enjoy more fun with friends at Flint’s arcade bar, The Eberson – located in the Capitol Theatre Building.

Torch Bar & Grill

Experience the famous Torch Burger from Torch Bar & Grill located in Buckham Alley. It’s paired perfectly with a craft cocktail or beer.
