With the winter season around the corner, folks are looking out for fun winter-themed activities. In Flint & Genesee there are plenty of ways to get in the mood for outdoor winter fun. From winter hiking to ice climbing, there are several fun experiences for winter lovers.

The local Fenton restaurant and bar turns into a favorite place to skate in the winter. When the weather turns, the volleyball courts adjacent to the restaurant turn into a 60- by 80-foot ice rink which is open during restaurant hours. The bar also hosts curling tournaments throughout the season.
Managed by the city of Grand Blanc, Physicians Park boasts a fenced play structure and swing area, a permanent restroom facility, large gazebo with picnic tables and electricity, a walking path and an ice-skating rink in the winter!
In Swartz Creek, Elms Park is a great place for children of all ages in the winter. With a playground area, a winter sledding hill and an ice-skating pond it is a perfect place for winter fun.
