Lace up your walking shoes or hop on a bicycle and find your new favorite trail in Flint & Genesee. Miles of trails of varying lengths and terrain meander through tree-lined parks, quaint villages, and bustling downtowns. 

The 17-mile Flint River Trail, Flint & Genesee’s main hiking trail, is part of the Michigan Iron Belle Trail system and runs through downtown Flint north to Richfield County Park. The Chevy Commons Trail, transformed from a concrete industrial wasteland into a beautiful riverside green space, provides a vital link between the former Grand Trunk Western Railroad Genesee Valley Trail and the Flint River Trail. Flint & Genesee hiking trails offer four seasons of fun and adventure. Many hiking trails in Flint & Genesee are multi-use and paved to meet Americans with Disabilities (ADA) accessibility standards.
