The Flint School of Performing Arts presents an evening of Jazz, as instructor Roger Jones invites you to celebrate with the music of Joe Henderson during this one-hour concert.
May 1| Rumours: The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute Show
Enjoy the music of one of rock’s most enduring bands when Rumours takes the stage of the FIM Capitol Theatre to play th e music of Fleetwood Mac. Settle in for an evening of favorites with a period-accurate performance, taking you back to the heyday of the 70s and 80s.
May 1| Season Opening Day at Applewood
Everyone is invited out to Applewood’s opening day just in time for spring to emerge from its cocoon. Walk the grounds, wander through the garden, take a tour of the historic house, and enjoy a “Taste of Applewood” with ingredients straight from the estate.
May 2| Flint Zine Fest
This free event celebrates the art of the zine, short for fanzine. These indie magazines celebrate the art of doing it yourself, and this event will feature local and national artists and writers showing off their work. There will be live music and food trucks as well during the event at Factory Two in Flint.
May 2| Flint Symphony Chorus: Choral Masterworks VI
The Flint Symphony Chorus will be at First Presbyterian Church to present Beethoven’s “Hallelujah” and Mass in C Major, op. 86, in this beautiful setting.
