YouthQuest will be taking brief hiatuses during the upcoming holidays, but that doesn’t mean your child will be left out in the cold.

According to LaKeitha Givens, Program Director for YouthQuest, there are several free, family-friendly events that will be held in Flint this November and December.

“Whether you attend public events or work on projects at home, it’s important that parents provide engaging activities for their students during the holidays,” Givens says. “This keeps kids learning, which will make the transition back to school an easier one.”

  • Barnes & Noble, 4370 Miller Road, Flint
    • Free children’s story time every Friday at 10:30 a.m.
  • Flint Institute of Arts, 1120 E. Kearsley St., Flint
    • Free admission every Saturday
  • Totem Books, 620 W. Court St., Flint
    • Free children’s story time every Saturday at 11 a.m.
