A career in engineering became the stepping stone for multi-million dollar success for Flint native W. David Tarver who decided to start a business in his basement that would ultimately be sold for $30 million.  It’s all spelled out in Tarver’s new book, Proving Ground:  A Memoir.

Join the Flint Public Library and the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce as they present an opportunity to hear how the Flint Central High School graduate, former Kettering student and University of Michigan alum became a successful entrepreneur.  Tarver will speak at the Flint Public Library on Thursday, November 29 starting with a community reception at 5:00 p.m. followed by a program and book signing at 6:30 p.m.

Business leaders, entrepreneurs and students interested in learning more about starting and growing a business should consider attending this event.
