(FLINT, Mich. – Sept. 10, 2014) The Speakers Bureau is one of the key services that the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce offers to the Flint & Genesee community. It’s a great opportunity for the Chamber to keep the community abreast of positive news and new developments.
The primary goals of the Speakers Bureau are to provide information on available programs and services; promote positive news happening in the community; increase the visibility of our work in the community; report the organization’s performance results; and communicate how the public can get involved in revitalizing the Flint & Genesee region.
According to CEO Tim Herman, the Speakers Bureau is yet another way that the Flint & Genesee Chamber looks to engage the community.
“We are reaching out and connecting members of the community with opportunities such as training, jobs, education and entrepreneurial” said Herman. “The Speakers Bureau is part of that effort and serves as a convenient process for groups that invite us to speak.”
The Speakers Bureau provides the Flint & Genesee Chamber staff as speakers on topics including business services, economic development, local tourism, employer and youth education and training, reinvention of Flint and Genesee County, government contracting, business and community engagement (how to get involved), the benefits of shared services, and business networking. Flint & Genesee Chamber leadership and staff are available to speak to nonprofit, professional, educational, business, and civic or trade organizations.
