Annual Golf Classic Comes to Flushing Valley Country Club June 14
(FLINT, MICH. - June 11) On Friday, June 14, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Classic will tee off at Flushing Valley Country Club in Flushing. The Golf Classic brings together business leaders from throughout the region to foster networking and camaraderie.
The winning team will take home the Annual Golf Classic trophy. Participating golfers will be eligible to win prizes. Golfers who sink a hole in one are eligible to win a two-year lease of a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu or a stay at one the Fairmount Golf Resorts, along with several other prizes courtesy of Randy Wise Chevrolet.
According to Tim Herman, Chamber CEO the event brings the business community together to network while having fun in the sun.
“The Golf Classic is an annual event that leaders in this region have come to look forward to each year,” said Herman. “Last year, 36 teams and 144 golfers participated and we anticipate a sold out event this year as well. It’s great each year to provide a fun day on the course for a business community that works so hard to grow the region.”
Heather Kale, Director of Member Services for the Chamber describes the golf classic as an opportunity for members and guests to connect and compete at the beautiful Flushing Valley Country Club.
“This is my first Golf Classic as the Chamber’s new Director of Member Services,” said Kale. “I am glad that so many businesses have stepped up to sponsor and support this event. Their support adds to the opportunity for local businesses to solidify deals and make things happen.”
