Looking for new ways to diversify your business this spring?  Then make plans to attend the Genesee Regional Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center’s (PTAC) Selling your Products or Services to the Government workshop.  The event is cohosted by the Shiawassee Chamber of Commerce and takes place on Wednesday, March 14, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Owosso.

According to Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC for the Regional Chamber many local businesses can diversify and grow through government contracting.  He says it just may provide the best “new” opportunity for your business in 2012.

“This is an important chance for area businesses to get what they need to navigate the government contracting maze,” said Frigy. “PTAC can provide all the tools, training and support required to get in on the government contracting market.  There are a range of opportunities for businesses large and small to work with local, state and federal government departments.  If you join us on March 14, we will show you how to sell your goods and services to the government.”

Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Regional Chamber PTAC has available to assist with the contracting process. The workshop will benefit management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.

There is no cost to attend, but reservations are required.  To register contact Chelsea Schutz at (810) 600-1437 or  Shiawassee Chamber of Commerce is located at 215 North Water Street in Owosso.
