The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) has broadened its coverage area and changed its name. Formerly known as the Genesee Regional PTAC, the center is now the I-69 Thumb Region PTAC.
According to Stacy Betts, Director of PTAC the new name reflects the larger region that PTAC currently covers.
“Our PTAC will now work with businesses in a seven-county area, which covers Genesee, Lapeer, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Huron, Tuscola and Sanilac counties,” said Betts. “The new regional footprint mirrors the I-69 Thumb region for economic development.”
PTAC provides businesses with the tools, resources and support needed to successfully explore government contracting. The experienced staff provides seminars, workshops and direct consultation to help businesses identify government contracting opportunities on the federal, state and local levels.
