June 5–7 | Mott Foundation Centennial Family Fun Day

June 6 | A Day at the Lake (Weekend One)

This event acquaints young people with nature and teaches them the fundamentals of fishing. It takes place at Bethesda Temple Church.

June 7 | Historical War Stories

This powerful event at The New McCree Theatre features stories of the United States Colored Troops, their role as elite assault troops, and their liberation of Richmond.

June 9 | Legacy & Literacy

The Hasselbring Senior Center serves as a bridge between young people and older people, offering an opportunity to learn about living history.

June 11 | Juneteenth Reparations Interactive Workshop

Join the Oak Business Center for this faith‑based conversation on reparations and economic justice.

June 13 | Harambee Breakfast

At Higher Quality of Life Ministries Vision Center, the community gathers for a thoughtful breakfast that blends Juneteenth with the spirit of pulling together (Harambee).

June 13 | A Day at the Lake (Weekend Two)

At Camp A.R.T.I.S. at Shay Lake, character building and theory meet reality as cultural and communal wisdom is shared.

June 13 | Juneteenth Kickoff

At Iroquois Park, the community enjoys activities centered on food and cultural enrichment.

June 14 | Celebration in the Village

This event at the Urban Renaissance Center explores the concept of Ubuntu and its meaning in the community.

June 16 | Freedom School Youth Dinner

This dinner at the Sloan Museum of Discovery links the Soweto Uprising to the “Children’s Brigade.”

June 17 | Financial Literacy Justice

This event at the Flushing Professional Suites teaches participants how to move from economic survival to legacy building.

June 18 | Freedom to Thrive: Advancing Equity Through an Intergenerational Community Voice

This celebration takes place at the University of Michigan-Flint, in the park.

June 20 | Juneteenth @ Cultural Center Celebration

Celebrate the Flint Cultural Center’s investment in the community at the Sloan Museum of Discovery and Longway Planetarium.

June 21 | Father’s Day Backyard Barbecue

This barbecue at Memorial Park focuses on family forgiveness.

June 22 | B.U.S.T / Healing Circle

Martin Luther King Peace Park serves as the site for a holistic healing circle.

June 23 | GET OUT THE VOTE (GOTV) Rally
